Leisure Lodge Golf Club,
The challenging 18 hole, Par 72, Championship course measures 6,084 metres (6,632 yards) and is a venue for top international golf tornaments.

Leisure Golf Club hosted the Africa Zone VI Golf Tournament with nine participating countries. Among the officials attending the tournament were committee members from Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland, and the vice president of South Africa Golf Union, who gave the course a top rating with the vice president giving the course a « gold» rating comparative with the courses in South Africa, where the top ten are rated « platinum».

The full size driving range has a chipping green and bunker for practice. Golf profesionals have a well-stocked Pro Shop and the Club House has all facilities including food, beverages, and changing rooms.

The golf Course if open to the public and green fees are very reasonable and non members may play in most of our tournaments.

Club night, held every Wednesday, is a fun afternoon / evening when golfers are also reminded of forthcoming events. See more...

Massage
An excellent massage service is available at the Divers Village. Charges for a full body massage are 800 KSH for 30 minutes, 1200 KSH for 1 hour. Excellent value – highly recommended.

Eco Tours
Conservation is very important in Kenya. The Colobus Trust aims to protect the monkeys of Diani, specifically, but not exclusively, the rare and beautiful Colobus Monkey. Tours around their centre and the surrounding forests are both enjoyable and informative.
Deep Sea Fishing... on the Indian Ocean
The fishing season begins in late July and runs through to early April. There are 2 monsoon winds that prevail on the Kenya coast. The Kusi (southern monsoon) which blows from April to November and the Kaskazi (northern monsoon) which blows from late November through to March. The winds play a big part in the migratory patterns of most game fish, therefore different times of the year are better for certain species. Sailfish are found throughout the season, but the best period is between November to February. At the same time you have a chance of catching small game fish such as Wahoo, Kingfish, Barracuda, Dorado, Giant Trevally and Yellow Fin Tuna. Three of the Marlin family is found off our coast. Black, blue and striped. Black marlin are found throughout the year, blue and striped marlin are best from January to March.
Most operators in Diani support tag and release of Billfish. If the fish are in good condition, the skippers are happy to let them go. All boated fish belong to the boat unless the client wants to take a fish back to eat. The main deep sea fishing operator in Diani is Nomad Fishing. Working along side them are a number of individual owners / skippers including Zig-Zag boat (next door to Diani Marine at Diani House) They maintain a high standard on board their boats with updated equipment and tackle. Mountain Biking
Mountain biking through mangroves, jungle and the tropical rainforests of the coast. With varying degrees of difficulty available keep your eyes open for rare birds, monkeys and all the creatures of the bush.
H2O Extreme Kitesurf + Windsurf Centre
H2O Extreme is the No. 1 kite and windsurf centre on Diani Beach. The school has the latest equipment from Naish Hawaii. Kitesurfing lessons are given by IKO certified instructors; for windsurfing we follow the RYA curriculum. Equipment is also available for rental, by the hour, day or week.
Conditions
Conditions on Diani Beach are perfect for learning or improving - the warm water of the Indian Ocean, a sheltered lagoon and side-shore tradewinds. For advanced kiters and windsurfers, the reef offers great wave-riding conditions, reaching 3 metres in the Monsoon season! H2O Extreme can also arrange down-winders for groups of expert kiters, including a 20km down-wind blast to Chale Island.
What's the best time to go?
The northerly « Kaskazi» wind blows from December to February – over the last 5 years this provided the most consistent conditions anywhere in the World. Expect wind-speeds from 16-22 knots (Force 4 - 5 Beaufort). Between June and September the southerly « Kuzi» wind blows, offering some great Starboard tack conditions.

H2O Extreme is based at th Beach Bar (Ali Barbours 40 Thieves), just near Diani Marine. Diani Beach is situated just 45 mins south of Mombasa, towards the border with Tanzania. Diani Marine is very popular for windsurfers and kitesurfers, offering comfortable divers village, a relaxed atmosphere and excellent value for money. The bar and pool area are ideal for relaxing after a tough day on the water, sharing stories and drinking a cold Tusker!

Topper sailing
There are several small topper sailing boats at 40 Thieves Beach Bar. Hourly or daily rental rates apply.
Ngalawa (African canoe)
This is a very nice trip in a typical African sailing canoe, which will take you to the outer main reef on a low tide for snorkelling and sun bathing. Rates vary from 300–500 KSH per person. The trip will last between 3-4 hours. Organize snorkelling equipment rental and boat reservations through Diani Marine office or book directly with Hamisi who is based at the Diani Marine beach entrance.
TIP: Organize a cool box from the Marine bar and sign for drinks on your room number.
Colobus Sanctuary
Is a charitable primate research sanctuary, which has been set up specifically for the conservation of the rare Angolan Colobus monkey, which are indigenous to Diani. Situated on the beach before Africana Sea Lodge (15 minutes walk from Diani Marine). This is a very interesting project, which Diani Marine supports and we recommend you to visit there. Leopard Beach Sports Centre
Facilities available include air-conditioned gym, squash, tennis (flood lit), aerobics, step training, karate coaching and volleyball. Situated at the Leopard Beach Hotel. Get there by taxi or matatu from Diani Marine (5 minutes).
Shopping... Around Diani
There is one main shopping centre area in Diani located only 3 km from Diani Marine. You can get there by matatu or taxi. You will find many curio shops, bars, restaurants, banks, taxi services and pharmacy. Prices are generally not fixed (even in the shops, except for the supermarket) and a 20% discount can normally be made on a purchase depending on how hard you bargain and how much you are buying. Try MOIZ Boutique (situated at Diani Reef Hotel, take a taxi or matatu) for competitive rates on local artefacts and kikoi's. The only cash point machine in Diani is situated at Barclays Bank. Forex rates are generally fixed, change your money at Kenya Commercial Bank or Barclays. Current Barclays' exchange rates can be obtained from the Diani Marine office on an updated daily basis.
TIP: Check the Prices in the shops before you bargain with local roadside or beach salesmen.
Ukunda Market
Visit Ukunda open-air market and check the local township. Only 10 minutes from Diani by matatu or taxi. This can be organized from the Village reception.
1 Day Mombasa City Tour
Start with a tour of Fort Jesus built by the Portuguese in 1593 and visit the Fort Museum. Later, enjoy a walk through the Old Town towards the Old Dhow Harbour. Driving around the island, you will feel the timeless atmosphere of this ancient Arab town, whose history dates back to the 13th century. Now drive along the seafront and the harbour entrance, before continuing through the centre of Mombasa. Then you will visit the Bazaar with its colourful array of local fabrics, the Hindu Temple and the world-renowned landmark of Mombasa, the huge Elephant Tusks on Moi Avenue. Finish off at Akamba woodcarvers, where magnificent carvings can be purchased.
